I had a heart condition that turned into Congestive heart failure in July, now my doctor says I need a pacemaker/defibulator....I am only 31 and have no children yet. My doctor told me that even though I will have a pacemaker i still have to take my heart medications and I cannot carry a baby, my husband wants to find a surrogate, where is the best place to find someone to help? And anyone know if Military medical would cover all costs for a surrogate mother?

When you have a surrogate she has her own medical coverage and that is what insurance pays for, everything else you have to pay for out of pocket and it can range from $22,000-$35,000. for the entire pregnancy. This is a very involved process, your egss need to be taken and your husbands sperm is taken and put together in a petri dish then put IVF is used to put the ebryo(s) inside the surrogate. You have to pay for her childcare if she needs it, materninty clothing. i believe there is usally a $250 a month allowance. Its $1500 extra if she has a c-section and $1500 for every add'l baby, if she ends up carrying more then one. Then at the end when she hands over the baby she gets a lump sum of $20,000-$35,000. There are many reputable companies. I suggest looking for one that is somewhat close to you so you don't have to travel so far. There is also a lot of legal stuff involved.

There are web sites that help you find a surrogate...use your search engine to look for them and make sure you check more than one to find the information you need. As far as military medical...I have no idea...I'm an army wife but I have never run across anyone that has done this!! The might though, hell they pay for everything else else nowadays (even boob jobs). Check into it by calling the insurance.
