If you are looking for a multiplayer online game, like a roleplaying game that does not charge a monthly fee; Guildwars is a good one. You do have to purchase the game initially, but there is no monthly charge.

zylom or king are great sites. King you get a ten euro credit and you use this to pay to play, but nothing wrong with registering with a different email account ;-) also popcap games another good one. I use these at work as we cant download any !

the best thing ever to download for free is Steam, go on steam.com and you can download a bunch of full games for free, like counter strike, half life, day of defeat and some more.

I play games on www.pogo.com its free or you can join. Then theres www.zone.msn.com they have some good games there too. Just depends on what your looking for.

i know eagames.com has some free games. i used to play them back in the day. i'm not sure how they would compare to your standards, but check 'em out.
