Check your volume (dumb answer i know).

If not then try this, goto
START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICES

Click on the audio tab and check what audio driver is selected. Some computers might have two soundcards, one on the motherboard and the other a seperate pci one. You need to make sure that what you select under default device is the correct one and make sure all the others (sound recording etc) are also set to the right one.

If they're all the one you expect then play some music and plug your wire into every hole (it should be the green one though) and check you aint got the wrong hole.

If that still doesn't work then try reinstalling the drivers.

Failing all of that, replace your soundcard with one that works

It sounds silly, but have you checked that the volume is up on the controls on your pc. Also go into your mt computer and check for any software conflicts. If this doesn't work, have you put any new programms on the computer recently, if so use smart restore and see if this helps.

This might sound kind of dumb, but in college I had that problem all the time. I figured out that it just needed to be restarted. Apparently that helped to restore whatever the problem was.

I hope that it's nothing more than that, for your sake! Good luck!

Check your volume settings.
I am always hitting my mute button by mistake.
