Perhaps it is because they do not understand our values and ideals. They refuse to give our notions a second thought, thinking that there ideals are perfect...and in some way supreme. Maybe it is because they believe that by feeding us this hate, that we will succumb to there power, and lower ourselfs. Or....there just simply afraid of change.

From my observations the liberals hate this country and believes that America is behind the problems of the world. I personally wouldn't call anyone an American that is ashamed of this country. Calling one's self an American requires more than just words.

I don't think that they actually hate Americans, but I do think that they hate liberals. Based on what I've seen of the neo-cons in the Bush administration, they seem to believe a couple of things that are wrong:

* The ends justify the means -

So it's OK to do something terrible (like starting a war, "outing" a CIA agent, ignoring the FISA courts, etc.) if it's for what they consider a good cause, like shutting up Bush critics.

* Poor people don't matter -

Take care of the rich people, make them richer, and eventually the poor people will be better off. Or if they aren't, it won't really matter.

* We don't need a middle class -

Take care of the upper classes. They're the only ones that really matter. The middle classes will become wealthy if they're smart enough, and if they're not smart enough, then they'll become poor and we've already decided that the poor don't matter.

* If it's good for a big company, it's good for the country -

Because the profits are good for the shareholders (those rich people again). It doesn't matter if the workers get hurt - they don't count - they are expendable.

What the neo-cons don't seem to notice is that it's the middle class and the lower classes who's spending keeps the economy healthy. Companies, even REALLY big ones, can't make enough profit if no one has money to spend. Duh!

The neo-cons also don't seem to have a close hold on history or reality or they wouldn't have been so eager to start the war in Iraq.

They don't, and they don't. Why are you so worried about them anyway?

Okay, you're going off of the actions of a few. Does this mean that because I was being harassed by a group of liberals, who were making all KINDS of false accusations against me, that all liberals are like that?
Some PEOPLE are simply childish. It makes no difference whether they're liberal, moderate, conservative, "neocon", Republican, Democrat or Independent. I've seen some very immature behavior from all sides on here.
I've been on this site for nearly six months, and I have not ONCE sent actual "hate mail." I have told people I didn't like their question or answer, but I don't feel that that's the same as "hate mail."
My point is, it's not just the "neocons" who behave this way. There are many liberals who are just as bad, if not worse.

Liberals don't get the truth; they don't want the truth, but yet they don't have a problem arguing and getting nasty over it. We still don't hate them as much as pity them. Neocons don't hate Americans. We are trying to save us from the likes of you. Now go do your homework or something.

I think neocons is something made up by the Bush Administration to get us to (once again) oppose each other. A country divided is a whole lot easier to govern than a country united. I live in a southern town, very conservative, in a state where living together is illegal; recently a judge struck down that law, and an overwhelming majority of the public agreed with the judge, so is North Carolina neocon??? I think it's a lie.

Cons/NeoCons hate Liberal Americans so much because Liberals stand for the true definition of freedom and Conservatives have never quite understood true freedom, maybe only freedom of religion is what they think of as freedom. And the current religious wars going on now has an underlying Christian agenda to "free" the Middle Eastern people of Islam. They can only think of freedom in a religious context.

The Liberals freed the slaves while the Conservatives still wanted them as slaves, very anti-Freedom. Liberals want to give homosexuals the same rights and freedoms as heterosexuals and Conservatives do not because it goes against their religious beliefs and contradicts what they are told to believe.

Conservatives just don't get the true meaning of freedom and I don't think they ever will.

In fact, they hate a lot of people, because they believe in violence and oppression. They believe in war, enslavement of the poor, violent silencing of the opposition, and using any means at their disposal to stay in power.
Being a Neocon is more like a psychiatric problem than a political option, really. They resemble the terrorists they want to fight so much, because like them, they believe in a black and white / good/evil world, and that killing and terrorising people solves problems. Simply put, they're into guns, coercion, the destruction of the environment, and war. It makes them feel better about themselves to know that someone else is dying and suffering in order to make their pathetic lives more comfortable. It makes the neocon (Nouveau con in French) feel like a big man to know some third world kid is wasting his childhood and health in a third world country, toiling in a sweat shop to provide him with a rebate and that his vote helped kill innocent people in a far away land in order ot prove his nation's army had more and better bombs than that country.
Why? Hard to say. Maybe the men feel their penises are too small. Maybe deep down, they're just frightened little boys and girls who can't shake childhood abuse by like-minded parents and now need somebody else to suffer in order to vindicate them. Maybe they're just jerks. Hard to say.
