Well, my husband is not old, and he's only in his mid 30's. I keep thinking that he just doesn't care where he put it. NO matter how many times I told him to put it in one place only, he still can't follow it. Whenever I question why he always forget, he kept saying the most annoying line"That's why I married you"

I told him that he was not like that when I married him.

I suggest you find a basket nearby his bedside. Remind him everyday to make sure he puts his stuff in that basket, he will remember it. When he wake up, he will see it right away. Charge his cell phone nearby the basket or in the basket.

Dear Cava,

I understand your situation. Can I suggest a supplement called phosphatidy serine? It is usually found in health food stores and I have found it also sold on the web. It does not require a prescription.
May I also suggest this? I do not know if you have a Bible but you can get one from the Public Library. I recommend the King James Version. Before you and your husband go to sleep at night, read to him some of the Bible--it does not matter where you read or start to read. You might like to start in the Gospel of John or 1 Samuel. I might recommend Psalms chpt 142-150 because they are so pleasant to hear.
I hope this will help you and your husband.

Help him by, having a certain place to put his things. If you have a small table or shelf in the entry way, that might be a good place. You could fix a drawer in the kitchen or living room and until he gets the idea, remind him to put his things is that particular drawer.

When he loses them I quote Slim (Lauren Bacall) fromthe Movie To Have and Have Not (1944)

Slim: You know you don't have to act with me, Steve. You don't have to say anything, and you don't have to do anything. Not a thing. Oh, maybe just whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and........ blow.

I do replace Steve with my husbands name...

My husband learned pretty quickly to put his stuff in the same spot everytime and stop asking me to look for it...

Sweetie, if that can be done, I'm willing to bet that you could make lots of money selling that solution. lol
No, seriously, the only thing I can think of is to start leaving him notes (those post-it note pads work) everywhere, in the bathroom, on his side of the bed, in the pockets of his clothes, etc. But, now you've got to remember, he is of the male species.
