Yes, but I will soon go into coaching. The websites may help but practise is more important.
First and most important, you must be fit to play the game. Go for long runs and on other days short sprints. Do this 4 times a week with rest in between.
Cut down on oily food, eat well. If you're eat heavy do this very rarely like once week or once in 2 weeks.
Next stretching is fundamental to preventing injuries, especially on the calves and muscles. Always stretch before exercise and before games. Warm down exercises after games or practise.
Build up your leg muscles by using light weights in the gym.
This is the basic. Next try to join a club or team, and play the game. If that team has a coach, better still, get him to teach you things.
The most crucial thing about football is shooting, you must know all the ways to shoot or pass. Inside, outside foot, from the bottom of your boots, even the toe poke.
Do this basic things first. After you've done this IM me, I'll advise further.
Also it pays to learn the Laws of the Game, which can be retrieved from the FIFA Website http://www.fifa.com
Good luck

i play soccer , admitidly a goalkeeper but i spent some time as a striker haha. just gotta be unpredictable but too many flicks and tricks arent always good for matches especially when they go wrong and your own team dont know what your doing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/skills/default.stm have a flick through there see what you can see. google will also be handy just type in something like " soccer drills " or the best way to tackle...

Be unpredictable on offense and take a shot if theres an opportunity. On defense stay between the ball and the goal. If your going to attempt a steal wait for the moment
the ball changes feet between left and right or on a pass amd go for it.
