one of my high school classmates died about 7 years ago and i want to know where i can read an obituary or article about it

If you know the date, you can go to your local library and find the newspapers for that week and check the obituaries for that week for a few more days. Sometimes the newspapers have a library and can check her name in their computer if you call them.

If you know the date and place of her death, you would contact the local newspaper for that locality. ( most newspapers have a web-site). Ask how you would research their archives. If it's a small newspaper, and they're not very busy, they may even do it for you. Be prepared to pay a modest fee for this service.

try your local library and ask them for saved news papers from this period. Or better, try find out the exact year of the death before start searching the papers... best wishes.

find out the exact day of her death and where she was burried (if possible) and definately hit up ur local public library. they should have newspapers there. if not i mean...there is the internet...it just night take longer for you to find what you are looking for if you use the internet
