Depending on the phone it may not be able to unlock to use on Cingular network. Did you not get a phone when you got service with Cingular? T-Mobile and Cingular in the Bay Area use the same type service. GSM on the Ericsson platform. Not sure where you are but it may not work. There are also services on the web that charge a nominal fee to unlock phones. If you really want to use your T-Mobile phone you may want to persue that.

you dont think that the companies make their phones incmpatiable with other companies hardware? saddly most of them do. it would be difficult to make it work.
