Because their management doesn't care about winning. They only care about the bottom line, making money. Cubs fans should boycott the games until the Cubs put a decent product on the field. Tickets are not cheap so the least they can do it reward Cubs fans for putting up with crap for so many years.

Last time I checked Kansas City won a world series 20 years ago but then again I'm sure most of the people who think they know baseball weren't even born then. Baseball wasn't invented last 10 years.
Cubs are the worst team ever by having the longest world series drought. Also they are one of the worst teams since they usually have on the top 10 payrolls and top 5 attendance and still rarely make the playoffs. Cubs have one of the largest fan base thanks to media mogul Tribune Co. and there propaganda machines, the Chicago Tribune newspaper, WGN tv/radio and Slammin Sammy Sosa's past exploits. It's sad when out of state tourist make up half the attendance at the games and their there to see the stadium and not the team and the highlight of there trip is getting drunk after the game.

So they haven't won a World Series title in almost a century, which pretty much makes them the worst team, or one of the worst, in baseball history. There really isn't an explanation, besides the curse of the billy goat and possibly steve bartman. However, I think that the Cubs are bad just because they are the Cubs. Cubs fans don't care because we don't have high expectations. They're fun to watch, regardless of the fact that they are horrible.

First of all, the Cubs aren't the worst team ever. Are they bad? Yes. Do they have problems in front office? Yes. But do they have talent in Chicago and in their farm system. Absolutely. I expect the Cubs to compete next year...especially if Prior and Wood return to the rotation.

lol, ok. why do you hate consistently on the cubs? i comprehend this is been one hundred years, yet to assert they're going to have a lot less followers than florida is stupid. the cubs are considered one of, if not the favored baseball crew (# of followers wise) for the era of u . s . with of direction, the most dependable of followers. we've not grew to develop into on them yet, and authentic cubs followers (it really is about ninety 8% of them) will proceed to stay with them. i'm a diehard cubs fan, were for therefore long as i will save in concepts, and this season is killing me too. yet i have been questioning, this is been a tough season..if we are in a position to initiate taking section in as a lot as our skills (that you may not deny is extremely some skills) and when we get Aramis again, we may be able to take a extremely open branch, bypass in with no ton of stress like very last three hundred and sixty 5 days, and in basic terms play baseball in october. we nonetheless have a superb pitching artwork force even as healthful with zambrano, harden, dempster, and lilly..i will allow you to recognize that this isn't a crew you want to be sure in october because weaher or not you want to trust it, they have the firepower to be each person.

I agree with the first answerer. They haven't won a World Series in almost over a century. Even the White Sox covered up that last year.
But hey, atleast their ballpark is nice.

for one thing there record another thing, until the Tribune sells them they will always put a crappy team on the field. Until the cubbie fans stop going to the ball part and start getting sick of all this loosing they will always be a bad team.
Go White Sox
