A few days ago my preschooler had made a craft in Sunday School that was supposed to be a face with eyes glued on to a paper plate. She dropped it in the huge crowd that was exiting the building, and one of the eyes fell off. She started crying and a sympathetic man picked it up for her. I said "It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye." Everyone except for my daughter seemed amused.

I work in security with a bunch of old guys. And as old guys often do, they like to talk about politics (and they are all Republicans). I'm a liberal myself. This morning one of our radios broke down and I said "How Republican is that. It's got the right idea but it just doesn't work."
Now for most people what I said isn't all that funny (and I didn't think it was all that funny either), but to see a roomful of Republicans just stop because of that, well it was very funny to see. Eventually after a moment they realized I was just joking and they all broke out into laughter.

Thursday afternoon I pulled off a great one-liner at work.
If I put my dog in an automobile that can fly, would that make him a Flying Car Pet?

Her: You're a hotdog!
Me: You're a dog!
