So I think that perhaps my puppy bit onto the screen of my ipod and ruined it. There are lines all over the screen and it is all kind if like in a negative. The words which are usually black or blue are now white and the background which was white is now black. The backlight kind of radiates between being bright and dark and its just a mess. As far as I know the ipod still works and plays music, but its just a complete headache to look at plus its a video ipod so there goes all of my videos.

Anyways, does anyone know if there is anyway this can be fixed? If it can is it even worth the money? I don't want to have to pay for a whole new one, but, as ridiculous as this is, I don't want to have to go without having one. Any help?

You know - I have to wonder if the connection to the screen isn't just lose. I re-read your description, and I didn't see anything about black blobs or cracks that would indicate a broken screen. The lines, and the reverse color (negative), and the backlight acting weird...these are all things that sound like a video connection or graphics controller problem. This changes the equation a bit. I think you may need to take it to a service specialist (http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service.html).

====My original response:=====
The description you gave tells me that the glass in the LCD is broken. That must be some puppy to bite through the protective plastic on the front of the iPod! KEEP OUT OF REACH ;-)

I was amazingly surprised and delighted to see that iPod screens are replaceable, and that the screens themselves are relatively cheap. Looking on eBay, I found screens for just about every model, and all were under $30 - some with the special tool(s) needed to replace it. So, yes, I'd say it is worth replacing. If you have a friend who is technically savvy - who can build & repair computers, he or she should be able to help replace the screen on your iPod, or you could take (or send) it to an authorized service center (http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service.html). If there is an Apple store nearby, you may also try there. Personally, I'd do it myself.

BE SURE TO BACKUP your iPod before you do anything. If you can connect your iPod to your computer and make sure everything is synchronized to your computer. I think the new iTunes has a backup menu feature.

Good luck with this and I hope your pup learns to appreciate music just a little better :-P

the LCD screen got punctured when the puppy bit it and made a leak. LCD means Liquid Crystal Diode once puntured it can never be repaired but can be replaced if some store sells spare parts for IPod.... Due to complications better look for a technician that can repair IPods otherwise it might get worst If handled with non-experienced individuals...

I suggest people who repair cellphones as one of em..

well sorry, but as far as fixing it you need to take it somewhere that works on them, the warrenty does not allow for damage aside from natural wear and tear most of the time, if that.
