Why does europe always pay more for games?

Question

Aren't you annoyed at always having to pay a premium for new consoles, games and accessories (If we even get them).
And why do we always get them last?
If area coverage is a problem, why is a US launch so easy.
e.g. Nintendo Wii Japan - £113
" " US - £132
" " EU - £180

I believe it's because the European game market is smaller then US and Japan. Because they sell less games, they charge more to make a decent profit.
