Well, Moon, I decided I must answer at least one of your two seasonal/weather questions and this is the one. Our dear friend Caroline has answered beautifully on both but methinks her wonderfully autumnal answer to your favourite season query cannot be topped. :)
Natural segue... Autumn weather is my very favourite, closely followed by Spring. The reason is simple: Both are moderate, temperate seasons for the most part and that is the kind of weather I most enjoy. Whether you wish to call it sweater (jumper in the UK) weather or cardigan weather or jacket weather, I like this weather the best.
I think it naturally follows that I would prefer the two temperate seasons and the moderate weather associated with each to the extremes of summer and winter. I dislike extremes and extremists of any description and this applies to weather, too. Growing up in Buffalo, NY, I know all about long, cold winters. A little of that goes a long way, quite honestly, unless you're really into winter sports like skiing. Summers, too, like those I've endured here in the Washington, DC area, can be insufferable. The excessive heat and humidity just wear me down -- and I no longer view the sun as my friend.
Another natural segue... I've always enjoyed the rain and prefer a lovely Spring shower -- even a good thunderstorm -- to an unrelentingly sunny day. And can anything top those cool, crisp autumn nights when the air is clear and the olfactory sense is functioning at peak efficiency? I think not. I love the Autumn and the Spring and the beautiful, moderate weather associated with both. The transitional seasons are best. No extremes, please. :)

Oh, my favourite kind of weather is, cool or cold weather!! :) I know that I'm in the minority with this answer, but I'm truly at my happiest during this time of year. I feel so full of life when it's cool outside! :)
I love being able to wear soft sweaters and jeans when it's cool. I love going for long walks on cool mornings, or during the evening time when the sun is going down. I love seeing my big dog act like a puppy again when it's cool outside (he hates hot weather). :) I love seeing the leaves fall from the trees, just like rain. I love sitting on my porch with a good book, sipping a cup of hot tea, and needing a light blanket around my shoulders because the air is so cool. I love having picnics at secluded areas when it's cool outside. I love going hiking in cool weather!! I love that my allergies are gone when it's cool (and cold) outside! :) I love being able to stay snuggled under the covers just a few minutes longer on cool mornings. I love making and baking a homemade blackberry cobbler in the oven and having the wonderful smells fill my home on a cold day. I love eating a steaming bowl of chili or stew on a very cold evening. I also love snow, and the beautiful stillness of winter!
I think that I've gone on longer enough here, so shall suffice it to say, that there are just an endless multitude of reasons why I love this type of weather. :)
Oh, I almost forgot... one more thing that I love about cool weather, is seeing the puzzling and sometimes strange looks from people, when I tell them that this is my favourite type of weather. Lol. :)

Hey baby.....its Fall!! A time for nice and cool nights and the turn of the colors is AmAzInG in Chicago!! Trees blooming to different array of brilliant dazzling colors that take your breathe away!! Its Great to be able to do stuff all day and not sweat your butt off....not too cold ...not too hot ....just right!!! The added plus is its Football time baby!!!

i absolutely love the fall.....haven't you notice the beautiful colored leaves on the ground....on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend taking a walk on the park and talking about how wonderful life is as we walk through the leaves...i also love the fact that i can start using turtle necks and scarfs... i love that fall look...

I think the best kind of weather is the fall, because I don't have to worry about it being too hot, and if it's a little too cold, then all I have to do is put on a sweater and everythings ok again. For me nothing beats the fall. Thanks for asking!
