You have great taste in music. Lets see......you are probably laid back (considering you like allot of the music from the "hippie" era), you like things that have meaning to them, you're a free spirit, and I'm guessing you are a southern child (with the Country and Southern Rock music), you are probably independent and strong minded. Am I close?

The idea that music influences ethos is a very old one in the history of western music. Plato and Aristotle believed that some kinds of music should be avoided because they could produce uncivil behaviour. This idea was obviously taken on and developed during the Middle Ages, when the church controled most, if not all, aspects of cultural life.

In my opinion, there is no truth in these beliefs. A Slayer fan may be a patient loving father and sincere, sweet husband while a Kenny G fan may be a psychopath. There is nothing scientific about this and this is an old debate in the US.

Now, art is a means of expression. And we do tend to listen to the music that best relates to our personality. So, on the other hand, there is a point. However, the choices we make in terms of the music we listen to are based on a number of factors, such as who has introduced it to you (maybe it's someone you admire or detest), the moments you lived while you listened to it (very important), even the clothes the artists wear have some influence on you, no matter how you much ignore this. In short, the variables are so many that they produce a butterfly effect.

Now, I like a lot of the things you do and I think you tend to hang out with the same sort of tribe I do. That's more predictable.

You're alright!

Take care!

I think their musical tastes usually do match up with their personality yes. It's hard to tell unless you've met them a little bit though.

You're probably mature enough to have your own tastes, most people that are afraid of having their own personalities usually just like rap, us rockers are dying out. You're probably not loud and obnoxious but still sociable. If you're anything like me you're upset with new music and miss the music from the good old days. And as a side not there are a lot of really good bands in there, I'd list the ones I liked too from you're list but that's like 7/8 of the list lol.

I think that you're laid back most of the time, but refuse to let others walk over you. I also think that it's easy to influence you or change your mind, but you will not compromise your core morals or values.
