We need to find and they believe they did find where water pooled or ran on mars. Ice caps are water as well but that don't mean that much. With pools and streams of water life could have started. Ice caps only means that the water was pulled out of the atmosphere.

So as far as I know they have found traces of proof that water was once on mars but no hard proof.

This is kinda like SETI have proof of radio transmissions but no hard proof of where it came from so it is being written off as just space noise.

Yes water was found on Mars. Mostly on the Martian South and north pole (it's all frozen obviously).
But frozen water is all over the place. Like the moon, and the reason that comets has a tail is because of melting ice.
Pluto it covered in ice, Japers one moon Europe has a thick Ice sheet. So yes there is water out there (lots and lots of it)

Not as a liquid but there is water ice at the poles and possibly under the surface. There is evidence of liquid water on Saturn's moon Enceladus and some scientists think that there may be a ocean of liquid water under the icy surface of Jupiter's moon, Europa.

I think there's been evidence found that water once existed on Mars, but not sure if the latest Mars exploration mission found that water actually still exists today.

There are polar ice caps on Mars so there must be water under those!

They found water but frozen so it needs to melt and moisturize to build the atmosphere .Take good care.
