Ketchikan (southernmost city) to Barrow is 1331 miles. The southernmost bit of Alaska is another 55 miles farther south so 1386 total +/- 5 miles.

But that is in a NW-SE path.

If you mean distance from the lattitude of southernmost AK (54.7 degrees north) to Barrow (71:16:06N = 71.3 degrees N), then the N-S difference, 16.6 degrees = 996 nautical miles or 1145 statue (regular) miles.
