attractive is a cultural creation-'attractive is different in different cultures and no thanks to our culture and the media, stick thin, big boobs, no blemishes and fantastic hair is attractive.

We all decide what 'attractive' looks like to us. Fact is, reading too many crummy magazines and watching too much TV can leave you with the distorted view that everyone thinks for example that ALL men think young skinny blonde bimbos with no personality and big t*ts are the epitome of 'attractive', the reality is of course that if we all wanted the same thing, we would all look exactly identical; but we don't.
Don't listen to the media, attractive looks like what YOU think it should.

Attractive is something that changes all the time, like fads. When I was a young girl it was beautiful to have thin lips, now it is beautiful to have big full lips. Years and Years ago it was attractive to be plump with small breast., now it is skinny with big breasts. It is always changing with fads, designers, teens, etc. Native african tribes probably think we are pretty weird looking as we think they are. Attractivness is in the eye of the beholder, even tho fads influence it.

Evolution hard-wired the basic signs or symbols of attractiveness in our brains, which were and are further refined by the culture and ethnicity we were born in.

There is a saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" if your job is publicity and you are allowed to describe what you see in the words that state what you think or are told to think.

this really bugs the hell out of me that we label people beautiful or ugly, as they say beauty is skin deep and it's true. you talk to people on the phone for years and never meet them and you think they what you would call beautifull then when you finally meet it can be a bit of a shock

Different cultures have totally different ideas of what beautiful is. Some cultures think that obese is beautiful. (Tonga?)
