Did you ever hear anything so strange-as the Portland woman , Susan Kuhnhausen , who came home from work last week to find an intruder in her home-so she killed him with her bare hands ?
Her estranged husband Michael was arrested for hiring the man ..
This is too bizarre to be true..or is it ?

Yeah, you know, "Veda" that had me wondering too when I first read it. They even found a "to do" list in the killer's rucksack along with her ex-husband's phone number. A real "pro" it would seem, he even worked for the husband, the plot is worse than "Fargo."

Then after he wacks her with a claw hammer, she strangles him to death. Anybody ever actually strangle somebody to death? Neither have I, but I assure you its not like the movies. The victim doesn't pass out conveniently after 3 1/2 seconds and pass away quietly 25 seconds later. The body can last a long time without a full air supply, and during that time the average human being strangled is fighting like mad to stay alive. They thrash around, fight and struggle, kick, bite, punch, why for about 3-4 minutes, its far worse than anything from the WWF!

We don't have enough info just yet to know if its true or not, but one thing is for sure, "Veda" it is definitely BIZARRE!

I think that most people don't realize that in a moment of fear they have this unbelievable strenge to protect themselves. I can believe it, she was fearful enough but felt the courage to want to live, and that is why she was able to overtake this intruder in the home. On the other hand if that was my husband and he hired a hit man I would make sure he rot in prison and then clean out his bank account...hahahaha I basically would make sure from that point on that I was the #1 person in my life and take care of myself and be more careful about whom I chose to share my life with. It's unfortuante what she had to endure and all he had to do was leave her. Now the idiot will meet big franky in the BIG House and well the rest is history..thanks

Good for her. It's time more women fight back. There was a woman here in Texas who came home to find a burglar in her home, shot him in the knees, tied him up and called the police. Now he can think about what he did for the the rest of his life every time he climbs into that wheelchair.

Wow, she jogs my memory of my grandmother. She had somebody smash into her domicile final iciness. the guy (which we later found out substitute into an area boy) snuck in during the kitchen window... my grandma substitute into lounging contained in the front room and heard the noise. She right now went upstairs and grabbed my granddads previous Smith and Wesson and made it back downstairs to make certain the boy preserving her stereo equipment. She shot him as quickly as contained in the leg and opened the front door to enable him out. She knew who he substitute into, so she called police to enable them to be attentive to the place they might locate him. She's a real hero... merely like the lady contained in the story above. Bravo!!!

Apparently she out-weighed the intruder significantly - she was over 250 lbs I think. Size plus adrenaline (fight or flight) worked to her advantage.

Have you ever tried giving birth? If women can expell 10lbs of baby from their bodys then strangling a hit man is no problem.

You should watch the very good movie "A Perfect Murder," where this same thing happens. Adrenaline can help anyone do anything they need to do in order to survive.

Adrenaline. And anger, lots of it. Maybe she should use some that on her ex.
