what is the age limit to play sports in high school? is there even one?

It depends on in what month were you born and in what state you live. Here in Virgnia, you can play varsity sports in the eighth grade; however, you will not be able to participate in the sport you played as an eighth-grader as you have only 4 years of varsity eligibility. And you can participate as a 19-year-old if your birthday is later than October 1st - provided you were allowed to start school as a 5-year-old.

I belive that you are only allowed to play for a total of four years, and your age doesn't matter. Meaning that if you were held back and highschool took you 5 years to complete, you could only play basketball for four years.

at my high school u hve been in 9-12th.. but u hve 2 hve a 2.0GPA and be passing 5 classes.. aslo u cant fail a yr and play the next..
