Not all of the government are Liars and Thieves but there is a particular ruthless group within the government who are prepared to commit any act to achieve the goal, act so reprehensible that even when shown all the evidence the ordinary citizen finds it completely impossible to comprehend.

No, you will need to go back 6 years to the previous administration to find your liar and thieves. This is the Administration that is actually doing something to help America.

Is the pope Catholic? The Bush administration is doing something to protect America? Like what? Why is Bush reluctant to go after the Taliban in Pakistan? Because they're a "soveriegn nation" and we need their permission to come in? I guess we were invited by Saddam to come into Iraq? PUHLEASE. I don't care who the next president is, a democrat or a republican, as long as they can keep their lies to a minimum unlike Bush and his Cronies. When Clinton lied, the world looked at him in a different light, I suppose(and probably slept on the couch for awhile until Hillary forgave him.) When Bush lied, nearly 3000 troops(and counting) died.
I won't even bring up Haliburton.

coragryph is right, however the Bush administration lies with a new Twenty-first century boldness and an in-your-face “Since I’m a god whatever I say IS the truth” style, that the human-sheep among us are naturally attracted towards. Many Americans live in daily fear of everything.
Imagine people cowardly enough to fear the Democratic party. It’s because Conservatives are cowards physically and insecure intellectually and sexually. And fear breeds hatred.
Republican men hate Hillary because they know they don’t have the wood for the job and it makes them ashamed of themselves. They can hear her voice as she whispers those three little words in their ear, “Where is it”? and “maybe you should tie a string to it”.
As a group, however, these (individual) wanks become a pack of manly-men, ready to put that b**** in her place. It’s pathetic, really – and maybe a little gay. (Okay, I realize this is insulting to gay guys – it’s a joke, alright?) After all, the Republican closet is larger than most US States. (This is no joke, just one of the Republican’s less well-kept secrets.)
PS to the Repuds - we know that the more you trash Hillary - the more you want her.

No. But that is certainly the view of liberals that have a blind irrational hatred for not only conservatives but government itself. Corruption is a big problem on both sides of the aisle and our country does need a good cleansing of it. We need to limit government salaries to the average annual income of every American; $44,000/yr. And if a government official is caught in a money scandal they get an automotic lifetime ban from public office.
We need to start treating the public office more seriously.

Only technically. Politicians lie because that's an accepted part of the political scene. Whether the current govt has lied or more less than any other is highly debatable. But lying is generally not a crime.
As far as being theives, in the sense of forcefully taking property from people agains their will, yes. But they do it legally, so again it is not a crime.
Time to fix the laws, so they can't keep doing these things legally.

is now and apparently has been for some time,, example the "tricle down" theory of Regan. Just a carrot dangled by the weathy elite to keep labor in line while they began busting unions. Better name would be tinkle down,
Even FDR who advocated for labor arranged pearl harbor to be when he could have prevented it from being so devastating,, yeah go down in infamy was right on,,, becuz he thought (probably rightly) we needed to get into that war. Stiil it was a big lie
