As soon as I turn it back on it works fine but I never know when it will conk out again. I have tried removing the battery and reinserting it but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Susan

It has nothing to do with the battery. If you have it plugged to the wall it is not using the power from the battery, you can actually take the battery out while is plugged and nothing will happen. This is got to be a problem with the adaptor or the electrical cord, your best bet is to call the manufacturer and explain them the problem, they should be able to figure it out.

All batteries loose power when they are used, and older ones lose it more quickly. If it looses power while it was plugged in then you probably needs a new adapter.

I've had that problem a couple of times with my laptop. Each time, I had to replace the power cord and then it would be fine. These cords are made to be replaced about every year or so.

Good luck!

Is it a dell? Check their website. They had a problem earlier this year with faulty batteries that have the potential to explode!

It can be a loose cable connected to your power supply.
