Far too many believe whatever nonsense they're family fills their heads with. Last desperate throw of the dice to better their lives without actually having to get up off they're backsides and do some real work! That's the only way these people know how to improve their lives, either Pop Idol or a lottery win.

Some go on because they really think they are talented, others for a laugh, all do it to get on television, because getting humiliated by Simon Cowell and his two pets is what amounts to fame on that show.

some people tell them that they have a lovely singing voice but there just trying to have a laugh and get them embarrased on tv in front of everyone!

Mostly they're deluded. The ones that crack me up are the spandex-wearing old people.

I think some of them are in it for the laugh, while others have alot of self confidence, so even though they are bad singers, they believe that they are actually brilliant,

The people closest to them haven't the guts to tell them the truth, or they are so egoistic they don't listen.

they are serious to themselves that can sing.
its just ludicrous.
i mean did you hear the 2 girls version of the lion sleeps tonight !!! but thats what makes it watchable.
