12 Years old in most states. It's 12 years old here when a child haves the right to choose when they want to see their other parent when their parents are divorced. Or to choose NOT to see them. That's their right.

my parents divorced when I was 2 or 3. I saw my dad every other weekend and 2 wks during the summer until I was 16 yrs old and know I never see him unless he's in the hospital and I drag myself to see him. I glad I was able to make my own decision due to my fathers behavior. I wish we had a relationship sometimes but not all the time. My mom supports my decision not to see him only if it's his death or he's in the hospital. Good luck with your children and tell them it's a tough decision I had to make and I don't regret but they might.

if the dad is willing to be there and make the commitment to stay in their lives then by all means let them go

I think they are old enough to know what to decide. You can not keep them from seeing their dad. This there father would you want to be away form yours. I understand they are busy but not to busy to love their father.
