Is it comprable human childbirth? Are Jumbo Egg laying hens worth more than the Smalls....or does each hen lay a variety?

First, chickens don't lay eggs,only hens do. When hens are laying eggs, the eggs come out very soft, they get hard when exposed to the air. Laying eggs is not comparable to human birth, or have you ever heard of a hen having a difficult delivery like: having a c- section, or the need of forceps or the vacuum to get the eggs out. Both hens are worth the same, because not everybody like jumbo or small eggs. Depend on the use you will give to those eggs.

Chickens do not feel pain when laying an egg. Jumbo eggs are from several specific type of hens. The chickens that lay these giants normally don't cost any more when you get the day old chicks at your feed store, or order them from Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Pullets start off laying smaller eggs and as they mature, their eggs get larger. Some chickens lay white eggs and some lay brown eggs, depending upon what breed.

the chicken does have some discomfort ,but not much it takes about 3-5 minutes for a chicken to push out a egg ,different types of chicken lay different size eggs.
most chickens lay 1 -3 eggs a day.... in a chicken farm ,they are feed they something to make them lay more eggs per day
