i think it's fairly obvious a lot of you don't like us. you think we're fat and stupid. while this is true to some extent it is not true for everyone. i am looking out the window of my dorm room right now. i see college students, who are obviously not stupid because they attend a school that has very high admission standards. i can see about 50 people walking down the street and i count 4 that MIGHT be considered overweight. isn't the UK having a weight problem as well?

what's not so obvious to you is that A LOT of americans dont like their government and what it's done. i hope in time you'll forgive us for that. things will change.

By Americans I assume you mean the citizens of the USA. There is a lot of territory in the Americas whos citizens are not allowed to vote in the election of House of Representatives or for the President of the USA or for Congress even though the USA believe that they know what is good for them. That is the crucks of the problem. Citizens of the USA "believe" that what is good for the USA is good for the world, they "believe" that they are the good guys, a shire reeve in a white hat (a sheriff, for uneducated citizens of the USA and I've got my spelling right, so get on programme you yanks). One good thing is that they are coming to understand that most of the world sees them as bandits, criminals, con-men, uneducated hicks out of smallsvill, and Eco disasters from
Springfield. But until they fully comprehend that the "American Dream" will live on. Dream on Fat Boy.

I don't think that most of them care, probably in part because most of them aren't very sure what would comprise the developed nations. USA is far and away the most insular of the developed countries

Why are you not interested in ALL the other nations?

And quite a few US Americans don't give a monkey's. Sometimes I think they don't even know there is a world outside, except Mexico, where illegal immigrants are from.

What difference does it make? What the remainder of the developed nations see in the USA will not affect their foreign policy with us because it is what their governments see in the USA that makes the difference.

The rest of the developed nations see us as stupid, arrogant bullies. I hate that! I wish we'd work on cleaning up our reputation.

My relative are European and I am a naturalized US citizen. A lot of their views about the USA are very conflicted and contradictory. Most like to critisize the USA yet many love to come here and many of those would love to live here. I have friends who do not disagree with George Bush but would never admit it to their fellow countrymen.

To be honest I don't think they even care! They see themselves as the supreme country on the planet and everyone else is insignificant (unless they threaten 'the American Dream' in which case they will bombed detained and tortured)!!
