I have never seen anyone with the Y-Answers ID "JCPenney" or "BelkGuy" but ssooooooo many people are compelled to show their amazing status by putting those 2 stores in their ID....WTF?

Personally I've never even heard of those two stores. But then I live in New York City and we really don't have time for dumps like that. It's just tooo suburban drab.

They think it's hip and trendy and fashionable when they're just buying into those stores' crap about being cool. But you can get the exact same clothes at any store, just without the A&F or Hollister logo for about $90 less.

Ha! Thats funny. Good question. I don't know... the atmosphere of the stores are certainly very "we-are-upper-crust-ish." I think that its probably due to very good, subtle advertising by the companies to develop themselves as being marks of status. It works becuase it makes people feel inadquate without them...

I try not to wear shirts that feature a brand name logo because I feel I should not be paying them money to advertise for them. Plus it is obnoxious...I dont care where you shop. I just want you to be comfy and have decent looking clothes on. I dont need to know that your wardrobe came from Store X from your handle.

yeah people are willing to pay 60-90 dollers for pants that look like the ones i bought at ross. . . but haveing a lil moose or eagle or w/e on it makes it cool. . . and inorder for people online to know you are cool enough to wear it they put it in their ID cuz u cant see their pants and shirts and stuff
