I wonder if anyone can help. There's a book I used to own about fly fishing and I'm sorry to say I lent it or sold it or lost it or something. I can't remember. I can't find it anywhere now. I've looked in all the second hand bookshops and Waterstones say it's out of print.

The author is J. R. Hartley. Can anyone help.

By the way I'm J. R. Hartley!

nice try - Look up the bookshop in the Yellow Pages!

( J.R. Hartley is a TV Advert Chracter from the 1980's advertising the UK Yellow Pages by playing an Author who has misplaced a copy of his own book and tries to find one in stock at a bookshop and ends up calling a bookshop by looking it up in yellowpages- strangely enough, this advert was very succesful, so much so that a "real" author wrote 2 books Pseudonym of J.R Hartley about fly fishing)

Yellow Pages advert from about 20 years ago. Really sweet old guy trying to track down a copy of a book he'd written.
