The terms "deflower" and "defloration" gives the same meaning to "pop you cherry". It is well known to mean losing ones virginity by having sexual penetration. Such event usually happen during the first sexual encounter though in some cases it happens on subsequent encounter where there is slight bleeding due to breaking of the hymen but bleeding could also be sometimes due to injury of the surrounding tissues incurred during intercourse. As bleeding gives red color, it is the thing they call " pop you cherry" comparing to a cherry which is red in color.
You see, losing virginity is only by means of intercourse so if hymen is broken in some other manner let's say accident or strenuous exercise, then you may definitely say that "pop you cherry" thing had happened yet in this case the virginity is retained so you are still a virgin.

The official meaning is "Popular Music" but the meaning has changed informally over the years so you're not entirely wrong in thinking it's crap like mister timberass. Soulja boy IS pop-rap, it's simple pop melodies placed under simple rapping. If you went by the official meaning someone like Nas would be pop-rap because he's popular. So it comes down to this. Pop means popular yes.. that's the dictionary definition, but in recent times it's being used more to describe music meant to sell or like you said dancish. Techno is 'dancish' but it isn't pop.. so it's basically stuff like the sh!t coming out of the Disney Channel, Britney, Timberass etc...

poping your cherry is breaking your hymen, a thin layer of skin a woman has in her vagina before she ever has sex. breakiny or popping your cherry means you are no longer a virgin. some women don't even have a hymen, so the term isn't used literally. it just means to lose your virginity now

It means the breaking of your hymen. It can happen from a number of reasons, but most commonly from having intercourse with a man, having his penis stuck in your vagina.
You are technically still a virgin until you have sex, whether or not your hymen is broken (you're cherry is popped). So if your hymen was broken in a sports event, like riding a horse or in a fall, you are still a virgin until you have vaginal intercourse with a man's penis in you.

Initially it's slang for losing one's virginity, but it's also seen more general usage to mean basically doing anything for the first, particularly if it's something more illicit or dangerous.
I have a cousing who clearly doesn't know what it means either, because he bragged to me that a girl popped his cherry several times that week.

Pop your cherry means losing your verginity, so when someone pops your cherry means you are not a vrigin anymore.
