William Gibson's novel "Pattern Recognition" was, as I last understood, being made into a movie. Does anyone know the production status and/or projected release date? Thanks

It has been cited as the first major literary work to allude to the events of 9/11. The disaster is mentioned briefly, but its impact echoes throughout the novel.

A film adaptation, directed by Peter Weir, is currently in production and due out in 2007...no release date ....according to where I have searched....yet.

I heard this novel on audio book. Brilliant. Totally engaging. For three days I breathed the world of Cayce Pollard. The concept of the film excerpts appearing on the web...the intrigue that lay behind it...her 'allergy'...the characters she met...911...her father...and the hunt to find the master filmmaker...
beautiful. This was probably one of the best audio books I have listened to in years. And this was a great experience for me because I had only listened to Neuromancer this year for the first time.
I look forward to his next work.
Peace and blessings.

It is currently slated for a 2007 release, so it probably is in principle shooting
