I don't want to hack! Actually I have been hacked and they got a load of my dad's information (credit card, bank stuff) and I was wondering how they did it. I wanted to ask 2 questions but I combined them into one because they were related to the same topic.

I would recommend going with C. Starting off with C will put u on the fast track to programming as there are a lot of "superficial" similarities between C and the later languages. So, it will be very easy for u to learn the other languages having a resemblance to C once u are an expert in C.
If u're not into hardcore programming and would rather go the RAD way (Rapid application Development), then i would recommend Python. It is a remarkably ease to learn, yet powerful scripting language which is very much in demand today.

Hope this helps.

My suggestion would be to first decide on what type of programming you're interested in.
For example if you're interested in programming for the Web, I would suggest you start with HTML and JavaScript then move into a server-side language like PHP.

If you're more interested in programs that are for the desktop, you may want to study C++ or C#.

At the same time, you can somewhat meld the two together by learning Java or C#; which have both Web and Desktop applications.

Surprisingly, getting to know any language (especially the more strictly typed) is very helpful in learning additional ones.

If you want to work in programming you'd learn C# or Java
If you wanto to play and do cool stuff for yourself and friends even sell some of your staf you'd learn VB.NET
If you'd like to hack you'd rather learn Perl, C, C++, Java Script and a bunch of scriptin language.

the main uncomplicated language utilized by ability of the huge companies is C/C++. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you're actually not constrained to that. The community video games for Xbox stay are performed in C#, and there are game libraries for countless languages (ex: Java, Perl, D). in spite of the undeniable fact that, once you're seeking to get a job at a huge company like EA or something, they are going to truly be making use of C/C++.

You have already listed it - C++

C++ is the most popular language used by hackers because it's easy to point to memory.
