During the last minute of bidding, go in and bid the absolute highest price you are willing to pay. Then, if you don't get the item, you won't be over a budget, (if you have one). Don't even bid on the item until the last minute. That way, you'll see how people have a tendency to up bids by 50 cents. If you have a slow computer or dial-up internet service, you may want to give it more than one minute, but not too much time.

when there are a few seconds left, and you're the high bidder, change your bid amount to the highest you'd bid....so say if originally you were high bidder and it said

you: $ 4.57

then everyone else would be bidding close to that...but if you'd pay up to $8 for it, then bid the $8 so the others are still bidding $5-$6.

I think you should bit the highest amount you are willing to pay and maybe sign up for one of their noticication options.

use autobidding and set your maximum bid to more than anyone would want to pay
