My daughter loves Cosmic Bowling at AMF. I think Brunswick does something like it, too. It starts around 10pm and goes til about midnight. It's indoors, supervised, they get soda and popcorn and unlimited bowling for one price, and lots of fun music. We usually do a sleepover for my daughter's girlfriends afterwards (the boys have to go home, of course).

Capture the Flag party: Mail a colored bandana out with each invitation so everyone knows their team. After the game, the party's on.

Karaoke party: Rent a karaoke setup, and let your friends entertain you all night. It'll work in lieu of going to a real concert (and music tickets are not cheap!)

Mall scavenger hunt: Make up clues for different stores. You could give each team a certain amount of pocket money and actually send them to buy their own party favors!

Scary movie night: An underrated and low-cost idea that works best as a sleepover. Bonus points if you have a sibling go outside and scratch at the window at the right moment!

Regression party: Go ahead and break out the hats and noisemakers. Return to your childhood, and play the old standards like musical chairs, hot potato, pin the tail on the donkey, etc.
