Pubic hair helps to disseminate pheromones, protects from friction during intercourse and helps to lubricate movement between the limbs and body. The hair was most likely used as an indication of maturity for natural selection.

"Normal" is personal preference, up to you. Some people shave others dont.

I think when most people these days think of a nude female, they think of her without pubic hair. Guys would expect it shaven, but wouldn't find it shocking if you had a full bush, they would just think "oh right, there's the possibility that she keeps it natural". I'd continue having sex, but would later ask if she would mind shaving, and if not if she could trim or leave a strip of hair. Completely shaven is more common for females, but if you don't want to shave it completely you could trim it or leave a strip of hair which is also common, but not as common as shaving it completely. There's also waxing and using an epilating. For men it's more common to trim everything above the scrotum, and to shave everything else. If you do shave, exfoliate the skin each day to prevent razor burns. There's also waxing and epilating. Also, I don't believe pubic hair protects against bacteria, if this was true then children would be prone to infections. I've heard many people shave and not have any problems because of it. I don't think it looks immature either, the genitals go through more changes than just growing pubic hair. For men, the only visible changes besides pubic hair is the penis growing bigger, so maybe that's why it's more common for females to find the look more immature.

It separates the adults from the people too young to mate. And it is definitely weird for a guy to want to be bald down there. That is a serious turn-off! Let your manhood/womanhood stay natural like real adults do.

Women have pubic hair to protect the vaginal opening from bacteria, similiar to nose hair catching bacteria and foreign objects. Secondly its preference if you choose to shave it.

It's really all to do with trapping & holding pheromones.

No, not really 'normal' for a guy to shave / wax....but each to their own.

I assume to keep the most sensitive areas of the body covered for the elements (our bodies were created to be natural, not clothed).

As for shaving, I feel it is a personal decision.

Its biology... have public hair for the body to keep clean and hygenic.
Men shave in the vain hope it will make their member look bigger and more impressive.
