I agree with the first answer- don't do them yourself. I use to play hockey (still do...), and I was always told by my coachs and father (who I respect as a hockey player- much knowledge there) not to sharpen them myself. Then as a wise teenager, I sharpened my skates by myself one time. I ****** them up pretty hardcore- had to replace the blade. So take them to a sporting good shop (if your in Canada- Canadian Tire does a descent job) and sharpen them. Then get to a rink and enjoy. Cheers...

take them to a pro shop. they will sharpen them for you for about 8 dollars. don't try this at home, you might ruin the blades and it coasts over a hundred dollars to get new ones.

dont do it yourself dude. alot of stores do it for free. if you need to quick sharpen it (emergency) then get a sharpening stone and run it flat along the side of the blade (NOT ALONG THE TOP WHATSOEVER).

Pay the $5 and have a skate or hockey shop do it for you.
