Mice are hard to get rid of. They come after food so put away everything at night. Set out traps. Block any openings into your house. It's hard for a landlord to easily fix some of these problems, especially if you leave food accessable. Make some suggestions to the landlord about what you think would help fix the problem and he/she may be more willing to help. A general complaint like "I have mice" is hard for them to fix. Maybe they would be willing to hire exterminator to fix the problem. Maybe call a few and have them come give you a quote to fix the problem and then talk to your landlord. If they know what it's going to cost them they may be more willing to do something rather than if they have no idea.
Otherwise it may just make better sense to move..

firstly you can write to your landlord and say to him the amount of time that you have given him to mend this problem you are now giving him another 10 days to answer this next letter after which you will get the pest control people in and deduct the money from your rent.
Or you could say that you will buy thoses electric plug thingies or mouse trap thingies and charge the landlord. give him 10 days then write again and say any of the things that I have suggested. He will get back to you quick enough.

Do you know where your landlord lives? I would set out humane traps (ones that don't kill the mice) and then once you've gotten all of them trapped, bring them to your landlord's house and let them go in his living room. I would also leave a note saying, "If you had taken care of this in November when had first asked, I wouldn't have had to take care of it myself!" Problem solved!
