Clearly they are crazy. Its not normal to do that. Harming yourself? Freakin wierdos, looking for self pity.

It depends on the circumstances really. I don't have any time for those who do it for attention - I've always been the type to just ask for help if you need it.
Cutting is a sad thing, but it can be overcome. I've been cut free for over 5 years, save for the occasional little blip - but in those 5 years I've never drawn blood.
You've just got to try not to do it - I know its hard, when you feel like you need to, there is nothing else in the world that can take the pain away like it, but you've just got to get through the bad times - you'll feel better for it. I've still not found anything that makes all the pain go away like it does, basically when something bad happens, you've just got to put up with the pain - it does go eventually.

Usually self harm is associated with people who have a border line personality disorder, most of the time it is done for attention.

i have a friend who cuts her self. Its not good for you. For the first thing you could die just from that. It dosent seem like that much does it. If you cut yourself to deep. You can loose alot of blood. But i think you shouldnt cut.

It's not cool with me. Self-mutilation is a cry for help and if you know someone that's cutting themself you need to make sure someone knows that can get them the help they need.

I think people do it for attention, to get noticed, and to get pitied. As for the poeple who honestly try to kill themselves, they need help (therapy, counselling, etc.) and the support of friends/family.

They need help. They are psychologically immature and it is a very childish way to seek attention. Whoever it is needs to see their doctor.
