The responsibility falls upon HER. Not you. But you have an obligation to be sure that she lives in a secure and sane atmosphere. I can imagine what's she's going thru to be rejected by her father.
HOWEVER!
Unless you are witness to what happened and she only TOLD you, proceed with caution and keep 1 eye open. She could be doing this just to get citizenship to The U.S. along with throwing you a little "yum yum" if you take my meaning correctly.
Personally, I think it's the latter and should have a serious sit down with her and have her talk to you about the relationship she has with her parents, and how she got here and who are the people who brought her here.
Proceed with caution.

I'm not sure in which country you live, so it's difficult to give an answer. Laws differ between countries.
In many countries a minor who gets legally married automatically becomes a legal adult. Then, when she marries, she may or may not become the responsibility of the spouse. Again, this depends on the laws of the country.

if you both get legally married she is her own responsibility and no longer a miner in eyes of the law but what her father is doing isn't right and if its proven could be forced to recant . its not a good idea to marry so young but in any case if you marry her you should be a man and take responsibility for her regardless the law but i think you better go threw legal channels to be sure you two aren't pulled apart later . good luck

the dad should be responsible for her because she isn't 18 yet. she's still a minor. but once she gets 18 then she's your responsibility.

you will be responsible but she is really not ready to marry until she is at least 23 in spite of either of you thinking otherwise

well, she's not quite 18 yet, but after she marries you, she'd be your responsibility. all she needs from her father is his consent to get married.
