Was wondering if anyone owns a kit car and if so what they are. Kit cars are my passion. We have a Fisher Fury. It has a Vauxhall 2ltr 16v engine and goes like no tomorrow. Its built mainly for track days and was then registered for road use in 2003. Its great. Let me know what you have..

I'm actually building one now. I'm doing the Ron Champion lotus 7 variant. I'm at the stage where the bodywork and floor pan needs to go in. I'm making the moulds myself as none of the manufacturers out there make carbon fibre parts and I want all the bodywork in carbon fibre to save weight and look fantastic. The power plant is an R1 bike engine, again to save weight and the missus wants the headlights to be a little better contained (planning on using 206 headlights to give a look simmilar to the Marlin 5exi front end) It will be a tottally individual car and I'm well looking forward to the day when we can roll it out, the project has taken me two years now and I reckon we have about another 3 years of Saturday afternoons before she can go for S.V.A

I, also, love kit cars. I once owned a Bradley GT (I used to drive it with a bag over my head). I try to attend the huge kit car show in Carlisle PA when I can. It's fun to see hundreds of kits on display, racing, etc. So many people really don't believe these are REAL cars!
Try to catch the show in Stoneleigh(spelling?) if you are in the UK. (I haven't attended that one ...yet).
