Produced by the legendary Joe Meek, he was one of Meeks stable of performers. When the hits started to dry up he turned to acting and starred in such films as The Great Escape and Guns At Batasi

The original, Norman was by John Leyton in 1961. Several others have recorded crap covers since then.
