There is no way to know for sure. It's true what people say. Many religions that believe in a god or multiple gods were man-based. In other words, MAN created those religions and gospels, not gods.
This question has been discussed since a long time ago, so if you do a search, then you should be able to come up with other great answers to this question.

I love this kind of question.
I have been looking for an answer to this question for over 30 years.Of course there is no definitive answer, however in my search in just trying to find the meaning of LIFE,who we are,where we came from,where we're going,my search brought me full circle to a realization that there is a greater source of knowing or power or creator.He,She,All that is,is just that,ALL THAT IS,no gender and all genders,think about it,ALL THAT IS,we can not be separated from that totality.There is not one religion that has all the answers and if they all realized the truths in there own teachings they would know that man has created a GOD in his(man's) own image,with all our frailties, judgements,angers and small minded ideas.
GOD,LIFE,LOVE,UNIVERSE,REALITY,are all synonyms.
Since the beginning of time man has tried to control his space and the environment,government and religion work hand and hand to control us but all that is changing now because it is time.
LIFE is a miracle and a great gift.The chances of this planet being here with all the different LIFE forms and beauty we have is next to impossible,but here we are.It is a game of sorts to see how far we can evolve.LIFE has three very strict principles that it follows,it wants to FUNCTION,ADAPT,and SUSTAIN itself,if these are not met then chaos ensues.Take a look at the present state of the world,LIFE creates lessons for us to learn from and if we don't get it the lessons become harder.
I believe there is a GOD but I like to call that LIFE because the meaning of GOD has been so confused and missunderstood for thousands of years.
If you look at some of our social inovators over the years you will see how LIFE has worked with them to bring about miracles or great change that supports LIFE and evolution to higher states of being.That is the purpose of LIFE,to continue to evolve to higher and higher states of being.We can do that or start all over again.We are now at a cross road,humanity has a great decision to make.I believe we will make the best choice and evolve to the next level,it only takes 5% of humanity to understand that we are all ONE and that what we do to any part of LIFE we do to ourselves.
We are creating our own reality on mass and individually and we can save our selves and the planet earth who will work with us when we learn who and what we are.

God is a concept...we always need someone to look up to,it's just our nature,, every civilization had their own god..a gentle supreme being who's given us mercy and forgiveness with moral standards ..who wouldn't cling on to that concept...so when you say is God real..that should be a question you must answer yourself..

because this universe is too amazing for there to NOT be God. i also believe in Him because He is in my heart. but just look at the world around you. this earth did not certainly come out of NOTHING. evolution is false and its chances are much too slim to be worth considering. look at a tree and the trillions of cells it has. i'd like to see you make a tree. wait, theres more, you cant use seeds, God didnt, and u can't use His earth, you create one, then you can make a tree however you like!

God is real he does not need your validation ,you need his .
You feel him in your hart and soul,you feel him when you see injustice being done and you know it .when you feel guilty about something ,when you can not explain why a wild flower grows
An old person dieing and a baby being born .God is ,Jesus is,and the Holy Spirit is and always will be there.

You don't . Religion is based on hear say which is derived from the bible. Someone mentioned earlier that he must exist because of all the flowers , tree's , rivers , sunsets and sunrises but what about all the turmoil , ie wars and blood shed are they based on his or her existance. I think not!!!!!!!!

I do not believe in god. I do not believe that any god created us, but rather humankind created god in a desparate attempt to understand the complex world we found ourselves in when consciousness first arose in our species.
But if you wish to believe...by all means do so.
