i play football for my jv team and i was thinkin of getting a visor but i wanted to kno if it actaully helps at all. i kno it looks sweet and thats half the reason im getting it but if it distracts me at all i dont want it to mess with my play

well, people get visors for their eye sight, or they get those darker ones so that people can't see their eyes as well.. im not sure, i think you can get it to help with eye sight atleast

For one visors look cool and for two they help during practice when you can't see because the sun is in your eyes. Also they add extra protection, so people don't accidentily stick their hand in your face mask and poke out your eye or scratch your face.
The only sucky thing is that when it's really hot they can make it hard to breath.

Some players get tented visors to keep the sun from getting in their eyes, especially defensive backs and wide recievers. Also it helps protect your eyes from getting hit.

They really dont help at all, just to be honest. Unless you play day games or the lights at your high school stadium bother your eyes they serve no purpose.
