If recent papal comments against islam are a form of freedom of speech, what about anti-semitic comments?

Why would any thing negative or bad or intolerent said about the islamic faith should not be considered an insult, but a form of freedom of speech, while any negative comment against jewish people is a form of anti semitic behaviour? Why would calling the prophet of islam a pig or an evil person and calling muslims sub human and making drawings about that in magazines and announcements about such things made by important and well respected religious figures like the pop is to be considered normal and an example of freedom and deservant of no reaction from the muslims, while a comment made by an actor(e.g. gibson) while drunk about the jews is considered an example of hatered and anti semitism and unacceptable behaviour?
Why isnist, for several hundereds of years that the jews are the source of all evil, the killers of the christ , and now the same hate is directed to muslims .
If christians are the more civilized, more mature and less violent, why then all this intolerence???

You can call a Jew a christ killer. Chances are the Jews would not riot in the streets and start burning down mosques. Draw a cartoon of Jesus and the Christians wouldn't like it but you don't have to worry about them killing the cartoonist. Muslims are a intolerant religion and over react to the slightest percieved slight. I say screw each and every one of them and their Mohammad eats pork. So bite me and go burn or blow up something.

Religion is all about control, and money...It does not matter who criticizes who, it's all a myth people! Wake up and smell the incense. The sooner we all figure this out the better off the world will be. We are all related to each other, remember that. The idea of racial, and religious "cultures" is a man made myth. The rulers of the world have always known this simple truth. The human race will never evolve, if we keep believing in all this nonsense.

first of all I see you have included several different countries and several different countries abusers and several different religious groups you suggest are abusers in your paragraphs and I can't answer for all of them, I can only answer for my own. If your intent was to point out only one country, one religion, etc. you have not done so.

secondly you state "recent papal comments against Islam" and that is an untruth in itself because what the Pope said was a quote and was not against Islam, and in fact the reason for the Pope's talk was to bring all religions together, so it's clear somebody misunderstood him and maybe even for their own selfish purpose. But hey, Islam's former president said stuff against America when he talked in some church last week in America and he didn't apologize.

Then you talk about the Jews and antisemitism and apologies needed for christians saying Jews caused Jesus' death, when we all know the Romans were responsible for that and not the Jews. So I don't know if you just don't have your facts straight or if you're trying to start something.

The Pope did not make any comments against Islam. He was quoting a statement made by a 14th century Byzantine emperor. Of course the media never gives the whole story; it would be too much like the truth. They, afterall, are not in the business of giving us news. They are all trying to emulate Jerry Springer and his ilk because that is what the brain dead public wants. It sells product.

Most of you say is true, better indeed asking question like this will us better a people by trying to overcome our own wrongs, I also agree that talking about Jews is an uneven task always there seems to be a global guilt about talking bad things, even when they do act wrong, about the state of Israel or a particular Jew person.
