I haven't tripped since highschool and I have been asked not to skip. Apparently it's not a pretty sight:)

Only at Christmas parties. I was trying to cool myself off while wondering where would that dang fan go. After a few happy meals that fandango isn't so light any more.The last time I tried, I had to pole vault over it. I just barely cleared it. It now buys its clothes from big and tubby men's stores.

I think the phrase is "trip the light fantastic" and "dance a fandango". And yes, I've tripped the light fantastic.

we skipped the light fandango, turned cartwheels 'cross the floor. i was feeling kinda seasick, but the crowd called out for more......................
