In my opinion, TOTALLY over-rated!

To see a different and more appealing side of Adam Sandler,watch Spanglish. If that doesn't win you over then I guess he really isn't your cup of tea. I love him but then I have a strange sense of humor.

I don't think so. I mean yes he had those goofy-slacker-childlike movies such as Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison. Then came Punch Drunk Love which I didn't care fo. But I did enjoy Anger Management(yes I know he shouts in that one) and Spanglish. I liked the updated Longest Yard but I admit, he was more eye candy for me! ;-)

The films that he's done in the past 5/6 years are abit rubbish, i'e Fifty first dates, Mr deeds, Longest Yard, Big Daddy etc
But his earlier stuff is better in my opinion i.e Happy Gilmour, Billy Madison, Waterboy etc

I think he's superb, "Happy Gilmour" is one my favourite films, but I can understand why you think he's overrated.
Its the same with all comedy - its subjective. I love Peter Kay and Ricky Gervais but hate Harry Hill and Vic Reeves. I love Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey but hate Chris Rock and Al Murray.
What I like you may not, what you like I may not. Thats comedy.

I never thought he was that funny of an actor, even on SLN - but when I watched "Spanglish", I realized that he can actually act - I'm not saying he's GREAT, but he definately has serious acting potential. Watch that movie, and see what you think.

lol, he does shout a lot but I think he's a funny guy. Who I can't stand is Jim Carrey, all he does is distort his face and talk in really annoying exaggerated tones.

how can u say that, hes so funny, 50 first dates just brilliant along with anger managment
just cos he does comedy doesnt mean hes bad actor

he was great to begin with Happy Gilmore is so funny and the waterboy. But little nicky must be his worse to date.

Nope, you're not missing a thing. Although he did look pretty cute in drag on SNL.
