Just out of curiosity, to the women who have had more than one child. Was your second delivery as painful as the first?

It's just a curiosity. I was told that it doesn't hurt as much and boy am I hoping it's true! I don't like the thought that each baby is bigger though. My first was 10lbs 9oz

I was in labour for 2 hours with my first , and didn't have alot of pain , it only took 2 pushes and i was done. so a 6 minute delivery was excellent. I was induced for my second child and it was faster 42 minutes , 7 minute dilivery so as far as pain , it seemed the same but you've done this before , hopefully you at least can have it faster that always helps

My second delivery was about the same as my first I just knew what to expect which made it a little more simple. My third delivery was the worst, something about kids getting larger with each pregnancy! (or so I was told)
Don't get worked up over it, assume it will be like the first and if less pain great. =)
Congrats and good Luck

Sorry to be a downer but my second was worse then the first. BUT I have heard that boys are worst then girls so that would say it all for me. Just think the worst like you probably did with your first and then it should go kinda smoothier. On the plus side I only pushed for 2 mins with my second so it does go faster just a little more intense. Goodluck and CONGRATS

My first two were fourteen months apart. The second was much less painful. The third and fourth were a breeze! Congratulations to you!

I had two children 18 months apart. I really can't really say because my labor was induced the second time. But it was quicker. Focus on the new baby... the pain is worth it

All deliveries and all children are different. They all learn differently and at different paces. Enjoy them while you can they grow up soo fast. I have 5 children.

No my first was a c/s and it was much more painful than my epidural VBAC, LOL But even my 4 otehr homebirths were not as painful as my c/s recovery. Also my waterbirth were less painful than my land birth.

i do not have children but i can predict that it wont be quite as painful (unless its bigger than the first) because you are getting used to the pain now! but i hope that you and your baby turn uot great and healthy
