I think so. Bec no one can claim in a secular world that this religion is good or bad. Why not consider practicing religion as taking time out to worship ur ownself, in the form of meditation.
Hindus, muslims, christians all have the same blood, breathe the same air.....just believe in different ideologies.
If there wouldnt have been a ramayan or mahabharatha there wouldnt have been a krishna and hence no Hindus. If Kaaba didnt exist there would have been no muslims, and if jesus was not born .......no christmas and christians.
But this message is for all human beings perse.........u have to be an indian if born in india, by respecting the nation and sing the national anthem....u cant live in india and not pay respect to it, then the other option is go to nations whose culture u want to emulate. Cant sail with legs on two boats.

No I dont think so. He has certainly put his foot in his mouth. But I am sure the vatican will come out with some quick and major fire fighting efforts to enable face saving. Well the problem is there out in the open it only left for us to accept it. The problem facing the world today is not Islam but radical Islam. It is affecting not just the non islamic world but the islamic world itself. How? Well it gets a lot of the hot blooded non islamic youth charged up and gives rise to fundamentalists who make good use of these youth to further their own goals. And what happens is "Malegaon". Well it is very much premature to say who is to be blamed for this particular incident, but believe me that place has become a hot boiler. What the western world is doing is no good. Invasion of Lebanon and Iraq has given further life to the terrorist movement. What the world must do now to prevent further deterioration is what must concern all of us. The role that the moderate muslims will play is also very important. The world will have to take stock and advice US and its allies from unilateral actions, a common consensus must be reached before going into some action. One can hope and pray that the UN gets more powers in the future and we all can be together in the fight against religious fundamentalism (NOT just islamic).
As far the pope is concerned we can be sure that the Vatican has done some damage control as we talk about it.

First, you have to determine what part of the speech the Pope gave was inflammatory!!

If your talking about the part where he quotes the Byzantine King and his remarks about a religion...Islam in this case, that has as part of its teachings, the killing of innocents just because they are not muslim...then by all means....tell me how that would be "inflammatory"!!

I would love to see the muslim outrage if a sub culture in the United States....decided to create a new religion with the focus of believing that their "GOD" commanded them to seek out and kill all Muslims!!
