There is always a quetion on an application that asks if you are employed can they contact your current employer. Would it be better to answer yes or no?

It depends . . in some instances you would put no if you think that it would jeopardize your current job. Obviously you dont want to get fired before you find a new job. If you think that it wouldnt jeopardize your present job, then check yes. You wont be overlooked for an interview just because you check "no", employers understand.

check yes. all your previous or current employers can say is how long you have worked for them. it is unethical for them to give any derogatory information that might hinder you from getting employed.
