I used to live there and haven't been in about 7 years. I miss it terribly but I cannot afford to go visit now. If you have been recently, has it changed much?

23 years ago, I went to Ocracoke, camped for a week, and spent TOO much on the nudist beach that was about halfway down the island. The ferry was never full. The little town was great back then and it would be sad if things have changed a lot.

I went about 4 yrs ago, very nice and secluded. I love to go when tourist season is over. I've only been twice so I cant tell you the differences

i went this year on vacation...but i don't have anything to compare it with to tell you if it changed or not.
its small, its beautiful, & it has wild ponys...i'd love to go live there!
