Unlikely (do you know something we don't?!!)...
Sky never drop their prices seasonally. In fact they tend to hold out for longer if anything. They know that they have everyone over a barrel at the moment as they have the only decent HD service in the UK...so its extremely unlikely that they will reduce or waiver the subscription fee until they have some competition...they would take the stance of...
Why should they? (lousy, money grabbing *******s!) ;o)

No i cant see them doing that with the subscription, esspecially when the bbc are putting the tv licence up by £30.00 a year, all these companys want to do is rip the customers off with there scandolous prices, and half the time theres nothing on worth watching, thats why we spend so much of our time on here, ive had sky hd for 3 months ive watched 1 film on it up to yet, even a lot of the stuff on most of the hd chanells isnt in hd,i must admit the stuff that is,the picture qualitys very clear, but on bbc hd they dont even put match of the day on,and its obvious they have all the equipment because when the world cup was on all the highlights at night were on bbc hd,i feel totally ripped off and ive emailed sky and bbc to complain to them.

i don't think so unless they do a package deal for new members, are you buying new or want to update a old standard sky box? or do you have sky hd allready and are hopeing that you will get it free over the christmas time? if it's the last i really dont think you will get it
