I think they will seriously consider it but the consensus around Washington is that they won't.

The first step will be hearings... lots and lots of hearings...

I am praying democrats at least get the House because even if they don't impeach him, they will at least have some hearings where we can find out what he has really be up to.

As a Democrat, I am highly upset regarding the insanely poort leadership we have had to endure under the Bush administration. But I am unsure if an impeachment is wise politically and the best thing to do at this time. Your good reason or bad, we find ourselves emeshed in a global conflict, faced with declining respect from our friends and boastful arrogance from our enemies. I think that initiating impeachment proceeding against the president under these circumstances would be dangerous for America, as it would send a signal to the world that we are divided and weak. I think that it might also provide fuel for Republicans to criticize Democrats about attacking the President during a time of national crisis...possibly derailing any chances of a Democrat getting elected in 2008. It might be best if the Democrats, taking control of congress, use its power to rein in the President's foolhardiness through control of the purse strings and forcing Bush to make better decisions regarding the loose cannon foreign policies he has taken. Besides, the crimes and misdeeds by the Republicans cannot all be laid at Bush's feet; remember, Bush isn't very intelligent..most of the decisions have been made by Cheney or other dark forces behind the Presidency...

The House of Representatives can't convict; it can only impeach; the Senate holds the actual triaMF I doubt it, although after impeaching Bill Clinton over lying to the grand jury, it does open the door to impeachments for petty reasons.

I do think if the House goes Democratic, there will be more investigations of Bush's misdeeds, though, include his "signing" statements, in which he signs legislation which he doesn't like but then fails to administrate properly, his bending of intelligence to justify going to war in Iraq, and his domestic wiretapping.

On what basis? He is acting under the authority of Congress. Most people want to forget that. Even Ms. Clinton voted in support of Iraq and for the president's requests. Congress authorized all action being taken including the formation of the Dept. of Homeland Security. You might not like the way it has transpired, but he has done nothing criminal.

If proceedings ever were to begin, it wouldn't ever go through. It would be just a big show they put on to make it look real. In reality, they're all in it together. There is little genuine difference between the two parties. There all Illuminati, pushing their New World Order police state.

I think there will be investigations into his corrupt and criminal activity. But they will never get the super majority that is needed to impeach. They can make things quite uncomfortable for him though.
